Discover Israel and life from a new perspective

We, Alexandra and Benjamin Funk, live with our six children as a German-Israeli family in a Jewish moshav in the Galilee.
Alexandra has lived in Israel for more than 20 years, and Benjamin emigrated to join her more than eight years ago.

Until the outbreak of the pandemic, we ran a popular touring and guest business. The encounters with people and the untouched wilderness were particularly close to our hearts – be it on the Golan Heights or in the depths of the Negev Desert.

As a couple, we have set ourselves the goal of bringing the country, the culture and the faith closer to the people. We write for various magazines, including SCM Bundes-Verlag, and support a variety of projects in Israel. Benjamin also works as a freelance editor for Fokus Jerusalem TV and occasionally appears on camera.

In his lectures, Benjamin offers in-depth insights into Jewish culture and life in Israel. He sheds light on the country’s social and political developments and explores fascinating biblical topics. For us as a couple, it is particularly important to shed light on those aspects that often seem incomprehensible in the West at first glance.

Our lives are a mixture of adventures and challenges that provide deep insights into another world. As a family, we experienced October 7 and the war at first hand.

Due to his many years of experience and his environment, Benjamin has dealt intensively with the handling and management of crises. He helps others to prepare for crises and strengthen their resilience.
