Yes, and lots of them! This is unusual for Israel, but not absurd, because the climate is good for the animals. The main theme of the zoo is Australia. The animal species and plants that can be admired there therefore originate from Australia. These include kangaroos, ostriches, bats, reptiles and many bird species.

The special thing about this park is that the kangaroos are in the outdoor enclosure and you can feed and stroke them. They are very trusting and tame. This is of course a hit with children.

Our children were particularly taken with the loris (a type of bird). If you hold a stick with a piece of apple out to them, they come flying up and sit on your shoulder, head or arm to get the apple.

Up close and personal with the birds – a great experience.

We liked it very much. There are plenty of shady places to have a picnic, rest, playgrounds for the kids and a labyrinth to get lost in. Everyone enjoyed getting a taste of the Australian atmosphere, it was enchanting.
