There is no wrong weather, only the wrong clothes

Winter in Israel
“What, you have winter here too?” is a question we often hear. If you want to ski here, you can. Mount Hermon, an hour and a half away, offers a few ski slopes. Certainly no comparison with the Alps, but it’s definitely enough for a few runs, provided you have enough time for the queues.
We make do with plenty of rain in the Gilboa Mountains. This year it has rained more than it has for 50 years.

Of course, that doesn’t stop us from going on tours. I, Benjamin, was out and about with guests in the north and in the desert. Sure, it rained from time to time and the Sea of Galilee was stormy.
None of this matters if you have the right clothing. Sometimes the only thing that helps is “waterproof”! It’s still raining a lot at the moment and we’re expecting a few more weeks of rain before we gradually move towards spring. Then we expect flowering meadows, less rain and temperatures around 20 degrees. Wonderful!
